Gargara with salt water
Salt acts as an antiseptic to help fluidize secretions, reduce inflammation and provide instant relief. Put half a spoon of salt in a glass of lukewarm water and gargle at least four times a day.
It has antibacterial properties that help in the recovery process. In addition, it helps fluidize secretions and reduce inflammation. Add 2 tablespoons of honey to a cup of hot water and drink several times a day. You can also add it to your favorite tea. Take a spoonful of honey and before you go to bed to soothe the sore throats and to help you have a quiet night’s sleep.
Take a half lemon, sprinkle salt and pepper over it and try to eat it. Another option is to make gargle with lemon juice diluted in an equal amount of lukewarm water. You can make a soft lemonade with half lemon juice, a spoonful of honey and a cup of warm water.
Known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, garlic has beneficial effects on the neck. It contains allicin which helps to destroy bacteria that cause pain in the throat. If you can not consume it in natural form, you can take capsules.
Mix a bunch of cinnamon sticks with a little pepper and boil them in two cups of water for a few minutes. Squeeze the liquid and add a spoonful of honey. Drink it as hot as it is once a day for a week. You can mix a few drops of cinnamon oil with a spoonful of honey. Consume this mixture twice a day to relieve pain and inflammation.
It has strong antiseptic properties. Add a quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder and add it to a glass of hot water. Mix well and drink in the morning, on the empty stomach, once a day for three to four days.
For a gargle, add two tablespoons of fenugreek seed in six cups of water and boil for about half an hour. Once it reaches room temperature, filter the liquid and drink it three to four times a day. This dissolves mucus and helps to relieve pain and inflammation.
